Potential Locations- Leake Street Graffiti Tunnel

When looking for suitable locations we stumbled across a graffiti tunnel situated in the heart of London. We found this location on an App about unseen sights in the capital.

From this picture of the sign at the enterance we can see that it is an authorised graffiti site. Here creativity is welcomed. We felt this would be a perfect location in London as it is not an iconic image but still conveys urban life.

Possible Locations

We need a foot or train bridge across a main road in our trailer to capture the urban feel of the film. We thought this bridge on Portobello Road would be perfect.

This block of council flats on Latimer Road is a possible location for us to film even if it is just an establishing shot. It is important for us to recreate the lifestyle of our protagonist.

This tower block on Turkey Road is not in the best location as the area surrounding it is more green and the feel we hope to achieve is an urban background. However the scale of the building is something we want to recreate to give the impression that there is no escape.

Outfit 2

We decided to challenge the codes and conventions of this genre. Typically, a teenage, troublesome boy would be in tracksuits and a hoody. We wanted to go against this stereotype and show that those kind of youths are not the only ones who can get into trouble and find no way out. So to do this we put our protagonist in skinny jeans and a bright coloured hoody (rather than typical white, grey or black) which is tied at the neck. This gives him more of an alternative look.

First Day Filming

Our first day of filming was in our local area as we did not need any iconic images for these shots, it was in the evening so that it was dark but it was also raining. this caused us some difficulties because rain drops kept getting in the screen and we did not want to ruin the camera. However, we managed to get some decent shots for our trailer.

Second Day Filming

For the rest of our shots we needed to be in London. We met our actor up there and got all the shots we needed succesfully with the right weather and the right lighting (almost dark.) We were pleased with this day. We still however need to go back up to London to get some more establishing shots and re-do some to a better quality.
