Location inspiration

This shot is of a block of council flats in London from the film Fish Tank.
We liked the idea of council flats as it sets the scene of the back streets and rougher side of London
as the flats are not well kept or particularly nice to look at.
We also thought that the low angle shot was effective as it makes the flats look daunting and intimidating.

This shot is from the film Adulthood and is also of council flats.
We felt that this particular shot of the flats was effective as the view puts into perspective
how big London is and therefore gives the message that it would be easy to
get lost into the gang culture world. Again we felt the flats set the scene of a rougher side of London.

This shot is also from Adulthood. We liked the council flats being shown in the dark as it makes them
look more intimidating.
